I Went to Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack yesterday, to say the least I was disappointed

Updated: Nov 17, 2020

Prior to the Global pandemic, I used to be an avid in-person, in store, mall connoisseur shopper. I frequented two different Marshalls on a weekly, and sometimes bi-weekly basis. I went to the mall at least once a month, and I shopped online (although the latter was not that frequent because everything I needed, I was getting in-store).

I could always count on finding exactly what I needed when I shopped in-person, I could always count on deep discounts and seasonal sales to consume my consumer addiction. I expected the in person shopping experience to be much the same with or without this pandemic. However, my in-person shopping experiences have been very lack luster to say the least. The shelves are empty, the variety is scarce, the quality of clothing is sub par, and the experience is a bit mundane. Don't get me wrong, I am all for social distancing! However, some of these retailers need to up their game and make the shopping experience much more enjoyable for the in-person consumer. To date, the only retailer who can provide an enjoyable experience with their clothing racks fully stocked is, Target.

For this reason, I continue to shop online, and will continue to make that my priority for 80% of my clothing consumer needs.
